I’m curious, is there a reason you made it so that the level can be beaten right from the start if we blindly guess the right pod, rather than having them all be death traps until we’ve eliminated all but one?
Ok so what if the game changes based on the players attitude towards the snake. If the player attempts to get eaten by the snake over and over again and chases the snake maybe the snake can judge you somehow?
Vore fan here, will there be an animation of the snake swallowing you in the full game? Because this might influence whether I buy or not. In the demo, the snake just touches you and it cuts to being in the stomach. but it would be really cool to see the snake actually swallowing you in different ways. Head first, feet first, etc.
i played this for my channel it seems cool so far has alot of potential here. love the atmosphere and the creepy ambiance especially with the snake creeping around in the vents. i do wish there was a crouch button tho. interested in seeing what the full game has in stored
Twice in a row I took a shot in the dark, with no eggs, entered a pod and made it to the forest. Maybe you should make it so that it's chance based? For example, entering a pod when you've collected no eggs results in a 1% chance (or lower) of success, and with each egg collected it jumps 10%? Something like that. I'm saying this because I also completed it the legit way using the eggs and it was a lot more fun and tense so I think an effort to force the player to play smart would go a long way!
What I've seen in the demo has gotten me very curious about the potential story of the full game. All the cameras watching the player here makes me think this may be some sort of experiment that's being conducted behind the scenes, and it was very surprising to see the design of the snake to be so different than how it was presented in the trailer (love both designs btw) and now I can't help but wonder if we'll be able to choose which snake hunts us in the full game.
Gameplay is simple but very much effective at keeping the player on edge, though it took me a bit to realize that the eggs were being passively collected when standing near them; I kept instinctively trying to press E to collect them, even after I learning I didn't need to press anything. While I'm also in agreement with others that the map would benefit from having a way to mark the player's position, I think if that were to be added it would be better to have it tied to a difficulty setting rather than making it standard for anyone that would prefer to keep it off for the challenge it brings.
Very much looking forward to the full release, as well as more in depth game over screens! ^w^
Also very curious if any achievements will be added in the full release, like one for escaping very quickly, or cheeky one for the player getting caught on purpose by running right towards the snake without completing any objectives. :P
Yes, the game is very GPU heavy due to all the complex lighting and volumetric smoke effects.
Are you using laptop with integrated videocard? We have reports from players who are using very low spec hardware that game is unable to render half of the scene. Runs out of memory.
If you have a way to force your computer to use a dedicated GPU, do it. I know some laptops have like a general-use mode and a gaming mode that they (usually) automatically switch between.
Actually I accidentally submitted a google form feedback before I noticed the graphics control settings 5 minutes of playing which I lowered the graphics to the minimum and it helped a bit.
This game is awesome! The experience is phenomenal and terrifying, with a perfectly liminal environment and scary, scaly monster lurking about its halls. The camera and map being limited in its detail add to the paranoia and unknown factor.
Narrow corridors that are claustrophobic, a cumbersome suit that provides no real protection whilst slowing the user down. Hearing it banging around in the vents and hissing upon finding its prey is a thrilling, chilling experience with the mysterious ending giving plenty of questions that demand answers. I've played it a few times already and can only wait with high hopes for the full release.
It's already wishlisted and I can't wait to get DIGESTED all over again.
Any criticisms I have are a lack of "You Are Here" symbol on the map and no swallowing sequence when caught, but what is presented is already quite strong!
Maybe a super simplified level as a tutorial, with signs? Or, since it seems to be some kind of reality show, a cinematic introducing the show? “Every week, contestants need to…”
I honestly really enjoyed the demo, the concept of it all is awesome, playability and graphics are pretty smooth, some small bugs with the sound when I turned the graphics to the max, and the snake bumping you without a death animation was a bit unexpected, but overall this was a really awesome horror game! I cannot wait to play the full game! Wishlisted it buddy!
Hi. Thank you for the cool video and the feedback. Yeah the sound bug is one of those nasty things where I fix it and then it always finds a way to come back one way or another.
I experimented with a cam feed mode where you can observe snake POV but and in gameplay it did not add any meaningful strategy and had an extra performance cost.
But pure POV where you control snake itself is not planned.
For being a demo, this was not too bad at all! Really solid mechanics for sure and that snake for sure was terrifying! Really sets the stage for the full release. Made a video on it.
Pretty solid, yet simple premise. My only complaint is that the snake needs to be heavily nerfed. Once it's on your tail, it feels pretty much impossible to get away from it. That, and the fact that the snake just kinda boops into you and knocks you over is a little goofy. Took me a bit by surprise and sorta took the scare out of it the first time it happened. I didn't even know I was dead until it cut to the death screen.
Other than that, sound design, graphics, and atmosphere are pretty on-point. The full release is on my Steam wishlist and it looks like it's in a very different stage of development compared to this demo. So I'm hoping that some of the issues I have will be addressed in the full game.
Overall, I'd give this demo a 4/10 just cause i couldn't get far due to the difficulty and mostly found myself trying to figure out how to properly avoid the snake. But I still plan on revisiting this in the future given how promising this is.

There's nothing lowkey about it.
To say the least... This game is something else.

yes
Freezes on start for me
did the loading screen hang? there is a bug in some pc-s where it loads, then hangs for 10-15 seconds and then loads the game.
Digsted. Is this a vore thing?
You want it to be a vore thing? :D
oh my god its a vore thing.....
Dev's aware of THE dark site...
I had fun playing this one, amazing game overall >-^
Can you pet the snek?
From the inside
But honestly, I wish
I know what kind of man you are...
Ok so what if the game changes based on the players attitude towards the snake. If the player attempts to get eaten by the snake over and over again and chases the snake maybe the snake can judge you somehow?
Or what if the snake started running away from you, turned into a reverse horror game
(For context… I am also one of those players)
No you dont :)
This game was genuinely AMAZING. I had so much fun!!!
Any love on my video is greatly appreciated <3

oh god oh man
Will the snake get slightly fatter for every player's death? Also is there be a way to see the snake's bulge after it eats you or someone else?
Really good game. The name says it all.
This is a really awesome game dude!

can you please release a linux version [AppImage]for the demo for the same since it it is not working with wine/bottle on linux devices....
Very creepy. That thing was super unsettling!

unplayable, I could barely move and despite changing the settings to low quality it still was very very laggy, I could even see through walls

yes I am
I use a Lenovo computer, which I got for my birthday almost 2 months ago, and yet its FPS is 2 at best in gameplay.
If you have a way to force your computer to use a dedicated GPU, do it. I know some laptops have like a general-use mode and a gaming mode that they (usually) automatically switch between.
Depends on the computer. Tf2 has an option to disable or enable multicore rendering.
Actually I accidentally submitted a google form feedback before I noticed the graphics control settings 5 minutes of playing which I lowered the graphics to the minimum and it helped a bit.

Addendum: the snake is cute.
Thank you for the kind words, feedback and for the wishlist.
I agree on the critical stuff. Had similar feedback from other players too.
Hi. Thank you for the video. Yes, the one thing I see consistently on videos are people figuring the gameplay out. It could be a smoother experience.
Will look into ways to make some gameplay stuff more obvious from the get go.
Maybe a super simplified level as a tutorial, with signs? Or, since it seems to be some kind of reality show, a cinematic introducing the show? “Every week, contestants need to…”
Hi. Thank you for the cool video and the feedback. Yeah the sound bug is one of those nasty things where I fix it and then it always finds a way to come back one way or another.
It's just a minor detail, the game's absolutely awesome regardless! Keep up the good work! :D
Will we ever have a snake POV?

buena demo
buena video :)
bro i entered one of those things and teleported me to a forest and then game over wtf kind of demo is this shit?
bro... you can sometimes win this shit by pure dumb luck ;)
Great video. Thank you. You no bad at videogames. This game is indeed difficult. Probably will tone done snake scent sensors a bit in future updates.

It was fun video to watch. Also gathered some nice insights from your commentary. Thank You for playing
MUY BUEN JUEGO AUNQUE NO LO PUDE PASAR
¡Gracias por las palabras positivas! Puede que nos lleve un tiempo acostumbrarnos, pero no pudimos ponérselo demasiado fácil :)
